How Do You Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Your Sales Pipeline?
TL;DR
Add Synchronise's MCP server, https://synchronise.ai/api/mcp, as a connector in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Codex, then sign in and press Allow once. Your AI can then read your stores, rewrite every draft, save templates and find new retailers, while every email still waits for your yes in Synchronise.
What an MCP server is, in one minute
MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is an open standard Anthropic introduced in November 2024 for connecting AI apps to outside data and tools. An app that speaks MCP can plug into any MCP server the way a laptop takes any USB stick.
Synchronise runs one. Point your AI at it and the AI is no longer guessing about your business from what you paste into a chat. It works on your real stores, your real drafts and what Synchronise already knows about how you sell.
Connect it in three steps
- Copy the link: https://synchronise.ai/api/mcp. The page at synchronise.ai/mcp has it with a copy button.
- Add it to your AI. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, press Add, then Add custom connector, and paste the link. In ChatGPT, add it as a custom connector. Cursor and VS Code take it in one click, and Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI take one line each.
- Sign in to Synchronise, pick your workspace and press Allow. That is the only time you do it.
Which AI apps work
| App | How you add it | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| Claude (web, desktop, Cowork) | Customize, Connectors, Add custom connector | Free accounts can add one custom connector |
| ChatGPT | A custom connector in Settings | On some plans it can only read for now |
| Cursor | One-click install from synchronise.ai/mcp | Opens Cursor ready to sign in |
| VS Code | One-click install from synchronise.ai/mcp | Opens VS Code ready to sign in |
| Claude Code | claude mcp add --transport http synchronise https://synchronise.ai/api/mcp | Opens your browser to sign in |
| Codex | codex mcp add synchronise --url https://synchronise.ai/api/mcp | Then codex mcp login synchronise |
| Gemini CLI | gemini mcp add --transport http synchronise https://synchronise.ai/api/mcp | Any other MCP app takes the same link |
What your AI can do once it is in
- Read your Accounts sheet: every store, its stage, when you last spoke and what happens next.
- Rewrite your drafts at scale. Ask for every email to open with the store's own words, and it rewrites them all in one go.
- Save templates. A template it writes into Synchronise's knowledge shapes every email drafted after it.
- Find new stores. It runs the same lead engine the app does, within your plan's daily limit.
- Pull a teammate's list into your own docs, and save reports to the app.
- Show its work live. Leave Synchronise open and every change appears as it saves.
Why it works on files, not a pile of buttons
Most connectors hand an AI dozens of narrow tools. Synchronise hands it your workspace as a set of files, with a shell to read them: one file per store, one per draft, one for the whole sheet. AI models have spent years reading and editing code, so searching files and changing them is the thing they are best at.
It also keeps the cost where it belongs. Your AI does the thinking on your own Claude or ChatGPT plan, and Synchronise only saves what it wrote. Changing one phrase across two hundred drafts is a single line, not two hundred calls.
What it can never do
It cannot send. There is no send, post or ad spend on the connector at all, so every email still waits for your yes in Synchronise. Your AI gives you one link to review them.
It never sees contact details. Email addresses and phone numbers are swapped for placeholders before anything reaches your AI, and put back only when a draft is saved. It changes only the workspace you approved, and you can disconnect any app in Synchronise under Settings, AI apps.
Questions
What is the Synchronise MCP server URL?
https://synchronise.ai/api/mcp. Add it as a connector in any AI app that supports MCP servers, then sign in to Synchronise and press Allow.
Can my AI send emails through Synchronise?
No. The connector has no way to send, post or spend on ads. Your AI drafts and edits, and every email waits for your approval in Synchronise.
Does Claude or ChatGPT see my customers' email addresses?
No. Synchronise replaces every email address and phone number with a placeholder before your AI sees anything, and puts the real one back only when a draft is saved.
Which Synchronise plans include the connector?
Paid plans. Claude's free plan can still add it as its one custom connector.
How do I disconnect an AI app?
In Synchronise, open Settings, then AI apps, and press Disconnect next to the app. Its next request is refused.
